Requirements
The iPad app requires iPadOS 17 or later. Draw independently without a Mac or a Rhino license. Apple Pencil is supported for drawing; available features also use touch and app controls. The current interface is English.
Optional Rhino connection: licensed Rhino 8 for Mac and the PA Sketch Rhino companion module, on a trusted local network. Run PASketchConnect in Rhino and pair from the iPad. Optional AutoCAD connection currently targets the tested AutoCAD 2027 for Mac adapter. Windows and AutoCAD LT are not claimed as supported by this release.
Before troubleshooting
Export an important project as .pasketch and keep a separate backup. Do not delete or reinstall the app as a first troubleshooting step. Record the app version and build from the app's About or Help area.
If a computer cannot connect
Check that the app and computer use the same trusted local network, that the companion module is running, and that local-network access is permitted in device settings. Guest Wi-Fi may isolate devices even when they share a network name. Check computer firewall permissions. Do not send pairing QR codes, codes or tokens to support.
If a file does not open as expected
Keep the original file and describe its source application, format, units and file size. 3DM import currently accepts files up to 20 MB and is not a promise of full Rhino feature compatibility. Use millimeters (mm) for PA Sketch drawing lengths. Areas and volumes are reported as square meters and cubic meters where available.
Contact support
Send the mode (Sketch, Rhino or AutoCAD), app version/build, device and OS, a short sequence of steps, expected result and observed result. Start with a description and a redacted screenshot. Send a project copy only if needed, with permission to share that copy. Keep the original file. TestFlight testers can also use Send Beta Feedback in TestFlight.

Drawing controls and PDF
Tools is on the left and Layers is on the right. Tap the canvas with four fingers to hide both panels; repeat to restore their previous visibility. Sketch Ink offers Pencil, Pen, Marker and Highlighter with 0.5–30 pt widths. Use the Paper eyedropper to sample visible reference images and ink. Ink stays on Paper and is included in project, Paper PNG and PDF exports, but is not modeling or CAD geometry.
Share Paper PDF as a composite page, separate paper pages, or both. Pages fit A3; this is not a specified printing scale. Space and CAD backgrounds are excluded. Keep an editable .pasketch backup before exchanging files. Update PA Sketch on receiving devices when sharing Sketch Ink projects.
Launch price
The iPad app is planned to launch as a free download, with no in-app purchases or subscription in version 1.0. Optional Rhino and AutoCAD connections still require the respective licensed host application.
